Within a month of the novel coronavirus outbreak, there was an absolute shortage of simple surgery masks and N95 masks. Technology has brought the world to the next level. Meanwhile, Engineers have found a way of printing 3D masks where they use air filters. In addition, this helps the doctors and the local public.
Engineers make cheap and effective PPE to meet the demand. On the other hand, innovative centers like the National Innovation Center of Mr. Mahabir Pun has distributed PPE for treatment purposes to the health workers free of cost. Likewise, Engineers are busy designing face shields. Face shields are 3D printed and have transparent face covering.
Sanitizers are one of the most needed things now. They are the cleansing agent for our hand. Sanitizer cans are available in public places for public use. However, number of people who use them, touches them make the can itself contaminated. So, simple automation can help it keep clean. Engineers have made simple ad-on to the sanitizer. This helps to get sanitizer without pressing similar to that of getting automatic handwash in malls. When you put your hand close to the sanitizer, it itself provides the required amount of sanitizer. Isn’t it cool?
Ariel technology has become the most demanding and faster way of disinfecting places. For instance, Drones help in ariel disinfecting technology. They spread disinfectant in crowded places and public places. Firstly, Quadcopters were used in China to control the coronavirus outbreak. Sooner, this technology was adopted by entire world.
Robotics to treat corona virus patients
How can robotics be helpful during the corona outbreak? Robots replace people in lots of jobs as people stay quarantine. Robots work as nurse for coronavirus patients in the hospital. In addition, they are being used to cook food, serve, sanitizing purposes and other purposes in hospitals. They also help in diagnosis and for thermal imaging and testing corona patients in many places. Robots deliver food and goods to different places.
With the symptoms and the characteristics, engineers are able to make AI-based infrared systems that can detect victims of the novel coronavirus within less than a minute. Alibaba has developed a cloud-based corona diagnosis tool which has 96% efficiency and can detect within 25 seconds. This tool traces the presence of the virus and diagnoses the patient. Alibaba claims to have tested more than 5000 people.
Unmanned Automatic and RC Vehicles
Several countries are using automatic and unmanned robotic vehicles to spread the disinfectant in different places. In fact, these bots are remote controlled and automatic. This is one of the finest use of technology to keep people safe as well as the environment clean.
Health Monitoring Apps
In order to monitor the health of the people, IT companies have launched health monitoring apps. They don’t check as the doctors do however they study the symptoms and predictions. These apps make people aware of the symptoms and effects of the disease. In addition, they aware people about the steps they need to take. They provide online doctor services as well. In fact, this is the best use of technology in the crucial period.
Online Courses on corona virus
There are hundreds of online courses on the novel coronavirus, symptoms, incubation period and effects. Several Universities prepare and publish these courses. These courses are not in detail however sufficient to make people aware. In addition, these courses also help health workers and public awareness. These courses are present all over the internet. Therefore, they are available in any corner of the world.

It has helped a lot to control the spread of the novel coronavirus. Therefore, technology and engineering together in a global spectrum has become the best way to aware of the public.
