Pak against Ind: Babar Azam says we’ve traveled a lot before Asia Cup smash.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam said Saturday that the squad was not frustrated by the weather, but the team has been traveling a lot throughout the Asia Cup 2023 campaign.

We travel regularly. The captain told a news conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka, that you don’t feel much when playing, but taking care of the teammates is crucial.

So far, the national team has played one match in Sri Lanka and two in Pakistan.

The team returned to Pakistan late August to play Nepal in the opening match at Multan after travelling to Sri Lanka for a series against Afghanistan. The team then went to Sri Lanka for their encounter against India on September 2 and returned to Lahore for their match against Bangladesh on September 6. Tomorrow (Sunday) they play India in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Babar hoped for bright skies in Colombo tomorrow for the meeting.

“The way the sun is shining, it seems it will not rain tomorrow,” he added, adding that the squad was training.

He said that the side may have an edge in Colombo.

“Our bowling start is good and middlemen are striving hard. We need wickets in the middle overs but are ending nicely “Babar praised Iftikhar Ahmed’s bowling.

He stated they were attempting different combinations, so fast-bowler Faheem Ashraf played.

We choose the greatest players and have alternatives. We have no selection issue.

“We know who will play,” the captain stated.

He emphasized the squad wanted to win matches, tournaments, and stay together.

“For the World Cup, we are looking at the Asia Cup to see what else can be improved,” he added, adding that the roster was practically picked.

“All [we] do [is] for the team’s betterment, not [to cause] heartbreak for the players; whoever gets selected will be the best,” the captain stated.

He called the quick bowlers the “best” and was proud of them.

Babar added, “Fast bowlers win matches and tournaments, I believe,” because they trust each other and believe in themselves.
